John Shiban began his career with The X-Files as a staff writer in it's third season. After receiving a B.B. in English Literature from the University of California, Los Angeles Mr. Shiban earned his M.F.A in Screenwriting from the American Film Institue. While at AFI, Shiban was chosen as the institute's candiate for the Paramount Fellowship and was also honored with the Mary Pickford Scholarship for writing.
