Hey you guys, I'm hoping somebody out there is an expert on dates of death concerning our hunters.
I'm currently writing a fiction where Dean gets shot by Gordon and then we follow his recovery process.
This is meant to fit in the flow of the series. Here are the problems:

I need to know when Pastor Jim died. I am from Germany so naturally everything was aired a little later here, but I looked it up and "Salvation" was aired 04/27/2006. I know he died in 2006, but that's still too vague for me. I at least need the season of the year.

I need to know how long pastor Jim would be dead by the time Dean gets shot in my fic.
It says here he died in Novemver 2006, but how can that be when John died earlier (July 19, 2006)??

Now, this is supposed to play after "Bloodlust", maybe even right after Croatoan, so it's a season 2 fic. Gordon is out there thinking Sam is the Antichrist. After Croatoan Sam and Dean don't seperate (which was stupid anyway) and Dean get's shot by Gordon while he's trying to protect Sam.

They are somewhere around Madison, Mississippi (there had been some or other gig for them, and I think i should make it sound important , cause they came all the way from Oregon) when Cassie texts Dean and invites them to celebrate some holiday with her and her mother. I don't know too many Amercan holidays and had been planning on making it lame Thanksgiving, but I want it to fit the timeline.
They had been planning to go over to Minnesota to pay Jim's family their respect. Which would lead them cross country again and they could slip in a stay at Cassie's.
