EPISODE 508: CHANGING CHANNELS

Dean: Well, whatever it was it chased Mr. Randolf through the woods, smashed to his front door, followed him up the stars and killed him in his bedroom. Is that common, a bear doing all that?
Cop: Depends how pissed of it is, I guess? That make a girlman weep and bears.
Sam: Right now what about Mrs. Randolf The file says she saw the whole thing .
Cop: Yeah she did My heart goes out to that poor woman.
Dean: And she said bear?

Dean: (looks at a big big sandwich) I’m gonna need a bigger mouth
(Sam walks in the door).(.
Dean:Hey there Sam, what's happening?
Sam: Oh nothing, just the end of the world. You’re gonna need a bigger mouth. Hey uh, have you done your research yet
Dean: Oh yeah, all kinds of research, all night.
Sam: Yeah?
Woman: Oh Deeeaan, we have some more research to do.
Sam: (makes a face to Dean) Deaaan
Dean: (high) Son of a *****

Nurses: Doctor.

Mrs Randolph: Well, it's impossible, but I could have sworn I saw... the Incredible Hulk.

Dean: Bana or Norton?
Mrs Randolph: Oh no, those movies were terrible. The TV Hulk.
Dean: Lou Ferrigno?

Dean: I'm wearing sunglasses at night. You know who does that? No-talent douche bags.

Sam: Maybe the stake didn't work because it wasn't the Trickster.

Dean: Call it personal experience, but nobody gets that angry unless you're talking about their family.

Sam: Then help us stop it.

'"I guess i owe you a bottle of tequila, want me to go and get you one?" Malachy asked her, there was a gas station not to far from where they were plus at the rate she was going she'd have drunk his beer as well.

"That's ok, we'll get some later" Jess sat back down and put the beer on the table.

"The report didn't mention a boyfriend...which is strange...Krista's not bad looking...may the chief or officer can give us some more detail in to her private life, i'm going to ask to see her house...officially this time and in daylight...do you think she's dead?" Malachy stared at the photo of her.

"I honestly don't think so" Jess said as she looked at the table.

"Man i wish i smoked sometimes...i hate not knowing what the hell is going on." Malachy bit his bottom lip hard playing with the empty beer bottle, spinning it on the table.

"Yeah, it sucks..." Jess yawned and looked through her phone.

Looking up from the file Malachy stopped the bottle from spinning. "What am i boring you already that your looking through your phone for an ex to hook up with?" He said jokingly.

Jess laughed "Nah, I'm just looking at pictures of my friends from Stanford" She showed Malachy a picture "That's Jessica, me and Sam Winchester"

Malachy smiled at Sam. "I haven't hooked with Sam in years....saw Dean a few months back, that was a few pretty awesome days of drinking and...um...nothing." He went quiet quickly handing her back the phone.

"It's ok if you got laid... you didn't even know me a few months ago" Jess looked back at her phone and smiled at the picture.

Malachy wasn't sure if she would mind or not, It had been Jo Harvelle, thats why her stuff had been in his car, it hadn't been a one off and that's why he'd been wary of seeing Ellen again. They'd grown up together.

"I mean, you weren't exactly the first guy I've ever slept with either" Jess kept looking at her phone and through the pictures. "Not trying to sound like a slut or anything"

"And here i thought i was special!..." He joked but Malachy seemed annoyed. Grabbing the folder, he got up and laid out on the bed, reading the police report. Ignoring the headache exploding behind his eyes.

"There's pills in my bag if the headache gets worse" Jess looked from her phone to Malachy.

"I fine..." He closed his eyes briefly almost falling asleep but his eyes snapped open and he continued to read the report grabbing the notebook off the side, making notes. "You really miss Stanford don't you?" Malachy looked over at Jess, his eyes were going blood shot.

Jess nodded "Really bad... and maybe you should get some sleep.. you look really tired"

Malachy shook his head. "This needs sorting....why don't you go back....myself and Alyssa can finish this, it's what we do remember...then i can meet you at Stanford...if you want me to?"

"That's ok... I decided to leave... I wanna hunt again" Jess looked at Malachy.

"If that is what you want... just be careful" He looked at Jess, then sat up rubbing his eyes. Malachy thought about taking those tablets but they made him unable to concerntrate and he needed to stay focused but he couldn't do that either.

"I will..." Jess looked at Malachy. "I'll finish reading and taking notes on the report, get some sleep"

"I'll be fine...i'll just get some air, finish the beers if you want." Malachy stood stretching and walked to Jess kissing the top of her head. "If i'm not back in five minutes then either a reaper's got me or i've fallen asleep outside, just come and kick me..."

Jess chuckled and kissed Malachy "Okey dokey"

The cold night hit him instantly waking him. Malachy sat on the bench staring at his Camaro and Alyssa's mustang standing side by side, they looked awesomeand powerful together. Malachy looked towards Alyssa's room and sighed, what was he going to do with those two, they let their anger get in the way instead of being sisters.

Jess read the report and started taking notes. She didn't know what to do. She wanted to go back to Stanford, but even when she was there, she felt like she didn't fit in 100%. But she wanted her dad back from hell too. She sighed and rubbed her head.

Leaning back Malachy stared at the stars, it was a nice night but he bet it wasn't nice for Krista where ever she was. Pulling out his cell phone he scrolled through his contact list. He paused at Jo's number smiling a little, knowing she wanted to kill him at the moment for what happened. Malachy scrolled down some more and stopped at Ryan O'Reilly's number, he stared at it...maybe he should call him arrange a meeting. He'd stolen the number from Bobby.

Jess finished the report and got in the shower. She felt sick and the room was spinning. "I better not be getting sick" She muttered to herself.

Malachy sat quietly hanging up the phone...He'd just threatened to kill Ryan and his entire family and they'd just promised him that they would hunt him down and finish what they'd started years ago. He stood walking back in to the room...hearing the shower going, he sank on to the bed...what the hell had he just done.

Jess sighed and sat down in the shower. She felt like she was gonna throw up, so she closed her eyes tightly and covered her mouth.

His head shot up looking at the shower door, something was wrong. Malachy didn't know how he knew but something was wrong with Jess. Rushing to the door he almost pulled it off it's hinges. He found Jess on the floor in the shower. Shutting the water off Malachy knelt in front of her, his hands gripping her shoulders. "...Jess?..."

"I think something was wrong with the beer" Jess kept her eyes closed "And I'm not drunk, my limit is 6 beers... and I only had 2... " Jess felt her forehead and cheeks. "And I have a fever..."

Malachy picked her up taking her back in to the bedroom, setting Jess on the bed he wrapped a blanket around her. "Are you sure?...i drank the same beer." He put the palm of his right hand to her forehead, Jess was hot.

"Well it was something" Jess rubbed her stomach and took a deep breath.

"Do you want me to get your sister to help you?" Malachy laid her down stepping back when he saw blood trickle from her nose.

Jess tried to wipe the blood away, but her hand was shaking to hard. "She... won't help... she... hates me"

"No she doesn't Jess." Malachy looked around the room searching for something...anything. "Did anyone else come in this room...Jess has someone been in the room?" Malachy shouted... he went to the wall ajoining Alyssa's room and banged on it loud. "Alyssa get in here now!" He knelt holding Jess's face.

"Not... that I know of" Jess closed her eyes and sighed.

"Stay with me!" Malachy slapped her. He searched the room again.

Hearing Malachy's shout, Alyssa ran into the room. "What? What's wrong?"

"Help her!" Malachy ordered and began to tear the room apart searching for it, grabbing his hunter's knife from his kit he held it in his hand, slicing open the pillows...there was nothing. He opened the bedside unit searching through it. Malachy cursed.

"It would make it much easier to help if I knew what was going on!" Alyssa stood next to the bed, placed her hands on Jess's head and began deadening the nerves that controlled pain so her sister could speak coherently. "Can you tell me what hurts, squirt?"

The room was wrecked and he still hadn't found what he was looking for. Malachy looked at the bed and walked past Alyssa and Jess,and began slicing in to the mattress. And it lay deep in the material. He grabbed the hex bag and took it to the table opening it. Bones, graveyard dirt, black salt and some other stuff including Jess's hair. "It's ahex bag!"

"Yeah, I can see that. But who the hell planted it, how did they plant it, and how the hell did they get to Jess's hair?" Alyssa stood next to Malachy and looked at the hex bag.

"I don't know!...Give me your hand..." Malachy took it anyway and sliced a line in Alyssa's palm and held it over the bag and did the same to his palm. Their blood dripped on to the cursed items. He got the holy from his bag and poured some on to it and did the same with salt then lighter fluid and lit a match. It went up in a blue flame then turned black breaking the curse. Malachy sank on to the chair.

Jess sat up and rubbed her head "How the hell..."

Malachy smiled at Jess, then looked at the mess of his hand. He was 100% exhausted now, he looked at the room.

"Stupid hex bags man!" Jess wrapped the blankets around her body and stood up.

Malachy watched her but didn't speak, he was angry but not at them, with this case...with everything.

Jess sighed and looked at the room "I wonder how anyone got in, everything was locked..."

Alyssa took Malachy's hand and accelerated the healing process until only a light pink scar was left, then did the same with her own. "How did you know to look for a hex bag?" Alyssa's coal black eyes bored into Malachy's. If he knew something she didn't, she wanted to know.

Malachy pulled away from her. "Everytime i help you two i get accused...i knew it was a hex bag because i know the symptoms because i know hexes...like i know spells, rituals...exorcisms! any hunter does... i'm not the enemy here and i'm tired of being treated like one but don't worry it's the last time i save your ass's!" He got up going to the bathroom and slammed the door.

"I wasn't accusing you, Mr. Touchy. I just wondered how you knew, that's all." Alyssa crossed her arms and looked at the bathroom door.

"Real nice Alyssa" Jess looked from her sister to the bathroom door.

Malachy stared at his reflection in the mirror. He couldn't control his anger and punched the glass, smashing it sinking down against the wall. He stared at his bloody knuckles.

Hearing the mirror break, Alyssa opened the door and looked at Malachy sitting on the floor. "Nice one, smart ass." She placed her hand over his bloody knuckles and they healed right up.

"Alyssa, leave him alone" Jess walked to the bathroom door and looked at her sister.

"Maybe i wanted to bleed!" He grabbed hold of Alyssa's wrist staring at her.

"Tough. There are better ways to feel alive than bleeding." Alyssa stared back at Malachy.

"I doubt that!...but please i'm dying to hear these better ways..." Malachy gripped her wrist tighter.

"Both of you shut the hell up!" Jess looked at her sister and Malachy.

Malachy dropped his gaze and let go of Alyssa but that feeling of wanting to feel pain...wanting to hurt wasn't going away, if anything it was getting stronger, his eyes fell on the shards of mirror.

Jess quickly got dressed in the kitchen, walked back to the bathroom and started cleaning up the pieces of glass.

"Leave it!" He told her, Malachy was shaking slightly, closing his eyes for a second, when they opened again tears glistened in them.

"I am not letting you cut yourself" Jess said and kept cleaning the glass up.

"I SAID LEAVE IT!" He grabbed Jess shaking her.

"Yeah! And I said NO!" Jess looked at Malachy. He didn't scare her.

Malachy stopped seeing his fathers ring around her neck, he dropped his head ashamed and slowly let her go. "You don't want me Jess...you need to be with someone else."

"I want to be with you, unless you're gonna act like a total jack ass" Jess picked up the rest of the glass and threw it in the trash.

Standing Malachy walked out of the bathroom and stared at the mess in front of him. He didn't look at either of them as he slipped outside...the world was spinning and he didn't right...it wasn't another hex bag, he didn't know what it was, he felt drugged and suicidal but Jess and Alyssa wouldn't believe him because of his past. He walked to the car and with no control over his body, opened the trunk and lifted out his shotgun

Appearing outside next to Malachy, Alyssa put her hand on his that was holding the shotgun. "You really think you should be handling big guns when you have no control over your body?"

He looked at her tilting his head and shoved her away, bringing the barrel just under his chin. Tears trickled down his face, his finger forcefully moved to the trigger. He couldn't stop.

Jess walked out of the room and looked at Malachy. "Malachy, please don't!" She ran to him.

"What the hell are you doing!" Alyssa looked at Malachy. She started to jam his gun with her mind but tried to keep her eyes open. It wasn't working too well.

Malachy's finger tightened on the trigger, his eyes were wide with fear but he couldn't stop it, he didn't want to die but he couldn't control what was happening, someone or thing was doing it.

Jess opened the trunk, threw the gun in the trunk with her mind and slammed the trunk shut. She was not gonna let Malachy kill himself.

Malachy looked at Jess his eyes were now white. "Shouldn't have done that girlie...i can still kill him!" The voice wasn't Malachy's it was alot deeper and evil. His body turned to the road and the big 8 wheeler coming. "Stay away from this case little children...daddy says hi girls..." Malachy walked to the road.

"You son of a *****!" Alyssa ran at Malachy and tackled him out of the road and onto the safety of the grass. "What'd you do to him!?" Forgetting who was really behind the white eyes at the mention of her father, she began punching Malachy repeatedly, full force.

Jess pulled Alyssa off Malachy "Stop!" She sat on Malachy's waist, pinned his arms to the ground and started chanting in Latin.

"You can't save him just like you can't save your daddy!" Malachy laughed at her staring at her. "Your not strong enough on your own Jessica!"

Jess ignored Malachy and kept chanting. She was getting a massive headache from the chant. But it couldn't work on her. She hoped.

Ignoring the headache exploding behind her eyes, Alyssa joined in the chant. This demon was not getting Malachy.

Malachy fought against her, his face bloody from Alyssa's punches. He got one arm free and grabbed Jess by the throat. "You can't trust your boyfriend Jessica...kill him now and be done with it because he will kill you both!" His body convulsed, screaming in pain, blood filled his eyes. The demon disperised from Malachy leaving him unmoving and cold. His hand dropped from Jess.

Rubbing her head, Alyssa dropped to her knees next to Malachy and checked his pulse.

Malachy's lips were starting to turn blue, he was no longer breathing.

"Oh god..." Jess started doing CPR.

"Crap..." Alyssa pulled out her phone to call 911 but cursed. "Of all the times for the battery to die!"

A gurgling sound came from Malachy's throat as he tried to breathe, then his lungs expanded causing him to choke and cough. His eyes went wide in a state of panic as he fought for air.

Alyssa quickly turned Malachy onto his side and slapped his back to expell the fluid from his lungs. "Damn you Malachy, you're not dying on us tonight."

Jess did the same thing her sister did "Come on sweetie..."

Black fluid poured from his mouth as he throw up. Malachy closed his eyes again but his breathing was becoming normal, he gripped the grass needing to hold on to something.

Jess sighed in relief and looked at Malachy "How do you feel?"

He rolled on to his back and opened his eyes slowly looking at them but he didn't speak because for some reason his face hurt. He touched his jaw and left eye...he was bleeding...And why was he outside anyway.

"Long story sweetheart" Jess looked at Malachy, she could tell he was confused.

"You were possessed...and your busted up face is curtosy of the demon's smart mouth..." Alyssa showed Malachy her bruised knuckles and looked down.

"Thanks i think you broke my jaw..."His voice sounded scratchy and deeper and kinda sexy...he smiled liking it then rolled his eyes with the pain of smiling. "Why do demons want to get keep getting inside of me!"

"I don't know... but I like your voice Mr. Sexy" Jess smiled at Malachy.

"That sounded vaguely dirty..." Alyssa chuckled and gently put her hands on Malachy's face, fixing everything and making him look like new.

He closed his eyes feeling her warmth, he was freezing. "What did i do?"

"Nothing important...let's get you inside..." Alyssa helped Malachy up with her arm around his waist and his arm around the back of her neck.

"Bull tell me..." He stopped by the camaro looking at the trunk frowning, trying to remember.

"Everyone's fine, so just shut up and relax..." Alyssa helped Malachy inside and over to the bed. He needed to rest, not worry.

Reaching the bed Malachy sat down and pulled his t-shirt over his head disgarding it, it was damp from the grass. He stared at the mess. "I think i lost the deposit." He looked up at Alyssa.

"I'll do what I can to piece everything back together...I'm good, but I'm not a miracle worker..." Alyssa said as things started to fly back into place.

"Your awesome you know that." He smiled at what she was doing and laid out on the bed exhausted.

"Yeah, I know..." She smirked a little as things kept rearranging themselves. "Get some sleep, you look like you need it..."

"No i can't sleep...i have...nightmares of my dad..." He looked up at the ceiling.

Jess walked in the room "Stupid people with stupid questions" She closed the door and sighed. "How're you feeling?" She walked over to the bed and sat next to Malachy.

Malachy sat up slightly. "Like i could sleep for a week...what did you tell them outside?" He frowned seeing Jess's neck, it was red. He ran his finger's over it and dropped his gaze. "I hurt you..." He looked over at Alyssa as well. "Did i hurt you too...what happened?" He closed his eyes for a few seconds.

"You kept trying to kill yourself...you didn't really do much damage, just trash talking..." Alyssa looked at Malachy as the last lamp settled into place.

"I told people that you were sleep walking... and it wasn't that bad" Jess looked at Malachy and touched her neck.

Malachy sat up completely now, bringing his knees up to his chestwrapping his arms around them. He rested his head on his arms. "What did i say?" He asked them too ashamed to look at them.

"Nothing important...the demon just said that you'd try to kill us, and that we can't save our dad...just a bunch of bull..." Alyssa looked at Malachy. She could tell he felt ashamed, but he had no reason to. It wasn't really him, after all.

"Nothing we haven't heard before" Jess looked at Malachy.

"I wouldn't..." He said ashamed. "If anything i'm the one who's going to die." Malachy mumbled remembering the phone call he made to the O'Reillys.

"And why is that?" Alyssa crossed her arms and looked at Malachy.

He looked at Alyssa with regret. "I'm not just the hunter anymore i've just become the hunted too."

"What the hell are you talking about?" Alyssa advanced a step toward Malachy and looked at him. She had the feeling he'd done something stupid.

"It doesn't matter." Malachy got off the bed swaying slightly but he shook it off. "We need to concerntrate on finding Krista and stopping this thing..." He leaned on the chair gripping it.

Alyssa pushed Malachy back down onto the bed a little forcefully. "You're not doing anything until you get your strength back, except telling us why you think you're gonna die."

"Alyssa, chill out" Jess looked at her sister.

He glared at Alyssa then sighed. "It's okay Jess..." Standing slowly. He pointed to the bed the space next to Jess to be exact. "Sit down there now!" He grabbed the chair turning it backwards and straddled it, leaning on the back. "Earlier i called Ryan O'Reilly..." He stared at them.

"Ok... and what'd you say?" Jess laid on her stomach and looked at Malachy.

"I told him that i knew he was the one who exorcised your dad...you don't touch another hunter...i told him he was going to pay, his whole family were...He warned me to get there first because that hillbilly family of his want to finish the job they started on me years ago." Malachy didn't seemed bothered about the threat.

"What the hell did you do that for?" Alyssa looked at Malachy in disbelief. Men could be so stupid. "You should've left them to Jess and me! They can't kill us, but they can you! And now you got them hunting you down!"

Jess stayed silent. She knew Ryan. She looked down and she felt like just breaking down and crying.

He shrugged. "It makes a change being hunted by humans for once...it's nice that you care." Malachy was putting up a front he was scared...The O'Reillys scared him because they were good but nasty hunters.

"You stupid, unbelievable idiot!" Alyssa yelled at Malachy. She was losing her temper. "Please tell me you at least didn't tell them Jess and I are with you so we still have an element of surprise!"

It's dark out when Alex arrives on the scene. He flags down a local police officer. "I'm Special Agent Baker of the Marine Corps Military Police Investigations division. Tell me what happened here." He shows him his military ID.

The police officer looked at the idea and chuckled. "This is Canada, son! That ID aint gonna do you much here." The officer thought for a moment. "Oh wait! you must be with that young fellow, the American FBI agent, Colby somethin'. Said he might have some others up here to take a look at that American man that was found dead..." The officer looks over to where a young man was kneeling by the tree where the dead man was found. "Thats him over there."

The police officer looked at the idea and chuckled. "This is Canada, son! That ID aint gonna do you much here." The officer thought for a moment. "Oh wait! you must be with that young fellow, the American FBI agent, Colby somethin'. Said he might have some others up here to take a look at that American man that was found dead..." The officer looks over to where a young man was kneeling by the tree where the dead man was found. "Thats him over there."

Scout pulled up and got out of the car, she sighed at the sight of snow and began to curse rather loudly. She pulled out her ugg boots and slipped them on along with a heavy coat. She walked over to Alex with her arms folded aross her chest. "So God damn cold here." She smiled and greeted the oficer then looked over at the 'agent kneeling near a tree. She raised an eyebrow and walked over to him. "So your Colby? Ellen has told us about you."
He walked over to Colby and Scout. "Here Scout, take my spare coat. Won't be needing it here anyway. I was trained to fight in intense conditions." he said. He put on latex gloves and checked the body for something that could lead him to deduce that it wasn't a Wendigo, but a serial killer or something. He found no visible evidence of foul play. Then he turned the body over and found something, the directions to an old facility run by the United States government. He called to Scout and Colby. "I know exactly where the creature is!" He started the engine to his vehicle. "I'm driving and that's final!"
"Alex! wait up! I'll talk to you you in a sec!" Kat yelled hopping out of her Camaro, (she couldn't leave her baby at the Roadhouse) and marching up to the police officer in her 5" knee high boots, she looked down at her jeans and leather jacket, she was so not dressed for this, it was dark, and the weather was, well, Canadian. "Hello officer, I'm Agent Katrina London, I'm Colby Fischer's partner." She smiled flashing her fake FBI ID. A long time ago Colby and her had hunted together and although he strongly disaproved of her impersonating authorities, there was no other way.
"You better have left the keys in the ignition!" he said while getting into Kat's Camaro and moving it into his big vehicle that had enough room for a car and 4 people. He jumped in and switched on the night vision, then got out his spare arctic camouflage (which is very well insulated) and tossed it to Kat. "Change into this and don't say anything until I see Colby."
Colby hadnt been at the scene long but he was fairly certain that this was, in fact, a wendigo. however, Wendigo's usually stored their victims, but this case was different, the guy was definitely taken down at once, no hesitation. the wounds on the body were deep and done quickly. "Must have really p*ssed the thing off..." He said to himself, then looked over as he heard his name. Not far off he saw an old friend and two others he didnt think he had ever met before. "Kat!" He said, getting up and brushing the dirt off his pants. "Its been a while! Did Ellen send you?" he said, but regretted the obvious question. "'course she did.. never mind." he chuckled a moment then turned to Scout to answer her question. "Hey, ya im Colby. nice to meet you!" then his attention was drawn to Alex. "Hey buddy, jumpin' to conclusions aint gonna get you anywhere." looking to make sure none of the officers were within hearing range he added, "From what I got, its definitely a Wendigo attack and Wendigo's tend to stick to one area, mainly wooden. I dont know what those directions mean, but im pretty sure this thing aint there. You can check it out if you'd like, but im gonna stay here and look to see if this thing is around."
Kat slipped her small arms into the huge parka Alex had thrown to her, she no doubt looked ridiculous, but they were hunting, not at a fashion shoot. She rushed over to Colby and reached out for a hug. She hadn't seen him in ages.
"It's weird, it just attacked and completely disregarded the body, if I didn't know better I would say it was using him for bait. But," Kat laughed to herself, "I don't think Wendigos are too picky with their meals."
Colby returned the hug, happy to see an old friend, then got down to business. "thats whats got me confused... i've never heard of a wendigo attacking to simply kill someone..." Colby was truly puzzled over this case. he had dealt with a lot of wendigos and had never come across a case like this.

The Trickster Is Back!

November 3, 2009

Many of us are tickled pink that the Trickster (portrayed by Richard Speight Jr.) will again stir the cauldron on Supernatural this week. In Tall Tales, he turned the boys into the Bickersons and threw all kinds of urban legends at them and Bobby. In Mystery Spot, he made Sam's life a living hell (and a bit like Groundhog Day) by killing Dean over and over and over...and over.

In Changing Channels, the Trickster throws the brothers into various TV shows, and they get to sink or swim! This should be a hoot! I say, "Welcome back, Trickster!"

Supernatural Ratings Are Up!

November 2, 2009

Plenty of people were in the Halloween mood last week because the DVR ratings for Supernatural were up, big time! According to TV by the Numbers, "The Curious Case of Dean Winchester" gained 39% in adults 18-34, 39% in adults 18-49 and 30% in women 18-34.

This is great news for those of us hoping for another season! Keep putting the word out about Supernatural so we can gain even more viewers in the coming weeks. The Apocalypse storyline will be heating up even more.

Scout sat on the far side of the bar twirling her hair, she looked at the other hunters then down to the old wood on the bar, maybe someone knew her story. She looked up at the woman who was tending the bar. "Hey did you hear what happened in L.A. on christmas eve 1995?"
"I think I did." Kat muttered emerging from the shadows at the back of Roadhouse, her boots making a sticatto snap as she briskly made her way to the bar. "Suspected possession wasn't it? Boy blew his step-dad's brains out then stone cold shot his sister in the face? Poor family. Were you close by or somethin'? I'm Kat." she purred slamming her Scotch glass back onto the bar and smiling at the bartender.
Scout looked up. "I'm Scout, and yeah thats what people thought and there where so many stories, like how he was the actual Micheal Myers. The kid kept his little sister alive though, thinking that they could have a good life." She took anouther sip of her beer before dropping the bomb, she wanted people to know about her. "I just so happen to be the sole survior of his attack."
"Wow, I'm so sorry." Kat sighed, eyeing the pretty, petite girl infront of her, she couldn't be older than 20, but seemed wise beyond her years and had a wary look on her face. "I quess everyone here has a sob story, that's why I like it here. You never feel...Like a freak." She removed her leather jacket and gestured for the bartender to keep em' coming, "So, watcha' huntin' Scout?" she grinned, absent mindedly tracing the scar on her palm.
Alex calmly walks in and takes a seat at the bar. He removes his patrol cap and orders something. "I'll have a burger with bacon, cheese, grilled onions, lots of pickles, and potato chips for that extra crunch. I'd also like a mango smoothie." While he was waiting for his order, he walked over to Scout and Kat. "How's the hunting so far?"
Scout picked up a french fry from her plate and took a bite of it. "Hunting my brother, or trying to find him. It'll be a hell of a family reunion, I can tell you that." She then looked over at the man who joined them. "Not so well, where you in the navy or something? My step dad was...before he died."
Kat did a once over of the burly guy who had just sat down at the bar, "Alex Baker? Long time no see! For me, the hunt is non-existent, just got back from one helluva vampire bloodbath in Philly, guy murdered six innocents before I could get a decent lead." She sighed, shaking her head. Kat didn't like it when people who she could have saved were slaughtered. "Have you been in a hole for four years or somethin' Alex? No phone call? That's low." She teased flicking Alex's shoulder.
Alex responded to both of them saying "I'm with the Marine Corps and sorry for your loss. Also, Kat.. yes I was in a foxhole. One of the safety measures used during my time in the war. Also, I couldn't make a phone call cuz Mr. "I'm your head honcho and I won't allow phone calls" aka Major Thompson, was still being a jerk to everyone at my rank and below including NCO's. The things people do during the war. I won't even bother tracking him down even though I still have a Humvee and advanced satellite technology that could lead me to him in an instant." He laughed, knowing what he'd to to his commanding officer if he ever got him mad.
"Hmm..." Kat replied wary. "War. Why do they even bother? I mean if they opened their eyes they would see there's a war going on right under their noses. Good and evil. Supernatural and human." She laughed.
Kat drummed her purple fingernails against the bar, she looked up and suddenly realized again she wasn't alone "Sorry for my rant guys. How come I never seen you round the Roadhouse before Scout?"
"They can't see what we hunters can see. Besides, if even one of us were to tell them the truth, they'd send us to an asylum faster that I can kill most demons. Besides, I can't even convince those under my command that the supernatural exist without them laughing hysterically. If they were hunters like us, the world would be prepared for the Apocalypse instead of thinking it's all in our imagination."
Scout listened to the two talking while she ate her food, she has not eaten anything in a week and this food was amazing and she was not gonna let it be taken from her. After all, her last foster mother was a nut job and would make her work for the food. She had a tough childhood, it shown on her face. She looked up when Kat questioned her. "I really didn't know that there where other people out there that did this for a living until I met two brothers that saved me from this wacked out kid. The tallest one told me to come here for something on my brother. He said that Ellen would know something about it."
Alex finally recieved his order. He started eating the burger slowly, while checking his cell phone for any voice messages. None. After about 1 minute, he was finished eating. He ate so fast because it was his first meal that wasn't dropped from a C17 Globemaster, prepackaged, and had to use water to heat it up and wait 10 minutes to eat. "I'm guessing you met Dean and Sam Winchester. Those 2 hung out with me a long time ago when our dads were out hunting. They were like brothers to me. Good times. Good times." He laughed.
"Yeah that was their names...the short one is very strong willed, he remined me of my brother. The scary thing was that him came on to me." She laughed. "I told him to keep it in his pants, then he got all pissy."
"That's no suprise to me. That's Sam for you." he said. "Although I would've expected that from Dean." He sipped his smoothie after wiping his face clean. He went outside to his Humvee and came back with a 1979 Liore Valley Chenin blanc and 3 wine glasses. He reached into his belt and pulled out a corkscrew. He then removed the cork from the bottle and slowly poured the wine into the glasses. "I have a feeling you'd want some strong stuff. Can't get this rare stuff anywhere except in a special place in France." he said as he put down the bottle.
Kat snorted. "Don't you mean Dean, there Alex? The horny one. Cool guys the Winchesters. Damn good hunters. Haven't heard from them in a while, last I heard they were chasing a homicidal Paris Hilton or somethin'? Anyway, I just came here to find Ellen and a good hunt, but she doesn't seem to be around." Kat smiled peering around the Roadhouse. "Oh, Alex, thank you! I was gettin' sick of all this watered down scotch."
"My mistake and I was looking for her too. I'm not going to drink it anyway unless you force open my mouth and pour it down me." He yawned, obviously bored. Nothing to do here except scare the crap outta Ash. "And that homicidal Paris Hilton was a Pagan God."
"Same here, and yes it was Dean." She looked around at the other hunters around them. "And is Ash the one that never wheres any pants?"
"Yeah, that's the guy." he said. "Just pray he doesn't come onto you girls." He removed his utility belt and pulled out his .45, released the magazine, and emptied the gun of the 45cal rounds. He then took out his gun cleaning kit and started cleaning the magazine. After a few seconds, he cleaned the other components and soon finished. Next, he put everything back together and reloaded the magazine with the 45cal rounds. "You girls want to go shooting with me?"

Ellen rushed back through the doors, her arms loaded with 2 big boxes. "Hey Dani!" she called as she made her way behind the bar. Dani comes from the back room and takes the boxes from Ellen and whisked them into the back. Ellen took a few deep breaths and glanced at the bar where the 3 hunters sat. "Alex! Kat! Welcome back!" Ellen shouted as she walked up to lean over the bar and give them both a hug. "Its been too long! What have you two been up to? Oh and Im sorry hon, I dont think I've seen you hear before. You new here?" She asked the girl, Scout. "Well, Im sure you all are looking for a hunt! Why else do you come here?" Ellen chuckled and grabbed a manilla folder from behind her and tossed it to the bar in front of the group. "Couple went missing up in the mountains of Quebec yesterday after they found a dead guy in the woods. Locals are saying its a Wendigo and I think they are probably right. And hey, I think Colby is up there too! He can help you guys out." From the back room, the sound of glass breaking gets Ellens attention. "Ellen!" the young waitress yelled from in back and Ellen sighed and turned to go. "If your interested in that hunt, better get going to Quebec! Give Colby a call, his numbers written on the inside cover of the folder." Dani yelled again from the back once more. "Better go see what she's broken this time!" She chuckled and disappeared through the back door.

"Ellen! Thanks for the head's up!" Kat grinned leaping off the bar stool she sat on. "You know I'm always happy to torch somethin'" she laughed snapping her fingers, "Alex, Scout, you guys in for a roader to Quebec? Sommes-nous prêts à aller?" Kat giggled at her crappy French, she was a bit rusty.
Scout smiled and got up from her stool. "Hells yeah, I'll drive!" She said as she rushed out of the door.
"Guess I'll head to Quebec now. Bye Ellen." he said as he walked out heading towards Canada.

Jesse and Faith walked down the the darkening path through the mountains, their bags loaded on their backs as they headed for their traditional camping spot. They laughed and chatted about last years trip and how their friend had chickened out this year, scared of the "Wendigo" or whatever the hell was being seen out here.
Something moved in the woods to their left and the couple stopped and stared into the dark trees. Jesse laughs it off and starts walking again. They were almost to the spot and he wanted to get there before it got any darker. The sun was setting faster as winter grew closer.
"Come on Faith!" Jesse called to his friend as she stood motionless, peering into the woods.
"Hang on Jesse, come here for a minute..." she sounded confused and maybe a little scared. He sighed and walked down to where she stood.
"What?" He asks, trying to follow her gaze. "I dont see - " He cuts short, looking into the woods where he sees an odd object slumped against the trees in the distance. "What - is that a person?" He strains his eyes. "I think thats a guy!" He runs into the woods towards the young man. He can hear Faith calling to him, but he had to help the guy. "Faith! Call the police!"
When Jesse gets to the man, he is shocked. He was bad off, bloody and covered in dirt, his face swollen so bad he couldnt even open his eyes. He spits blood as he tries to talk. Jesse bends down to try and hear what the man is whispering.
"Run. Run..." And with that, the man dies, his breath rattling in his chest as his lungs try to inflate once more and the mans head bobs down when they fail. Jesse tries to piece together what the man has said when he hears a branch break just out of sight in the darkening woods. His heart is pounding in his chest as he listens for a moment, wondering if it was his imagination. Another twig breaks, closer this time and Jesse runs back towards Faith. He grabs her arm and she drops the phone. On the other end, a woman asks if they are still there, but Jesse and Faith are running down the trail as the sun disappears behind the trees and the shadows claim the area...

SAM GROWING UP

Sam was born on May 2, 1983 to John and Mary Winchester in Lawrence, Kansas. He was the couple's second-born child and younger son, four years younger than his older brother, Dean. Sam stands at 6' 4" tall.

Sam is different from his older brother, in that he is sensitive, rational, more innocent, and seemingly more concerned with living a "normal life" than his brother; in spite of this, it is apparent that he would do anything for Dean. He also rebelled against his father's attempts to raise him as a demon hunter and enrolled in Stanford University.

When Dean came to ask Sam for his help in the first episode, the viewers are introduced to Jessica, Sam's girlfriend. It is apparent that Sam was somewhat popular, despite no one knowing what it is his family really does. His brother Dean is the only one allowed to call him by his nickname, "Sammy." Sam has also had more love interests than Dean, although Dean has had a few flings on the show.

Although this is the Sam the viewers have come to love in Seasons 1 & 2, Sam has slowly become more and more hardened and cold hearted as Season 3 continues on. This is most likely a result of trying to become more like Dean so he can help Dean get out of 'the Deal.'

Relationship: The first time Sam and Meg met, they were both trying to make their way to California. They spent some time waiting at the bus station and got to know each other pretty well. However, the second time they met, Sam realized that something was unusual about her - just before she tried to have him and Dean killed by demons that she was controlling. Despite her psychotic tendencies, she was attracted to Sam.

WEAPONRY

Sam uses a chromed Beretta 92fs loaded with silver rounds and uses a pistol grip 4-shelled 12 gauge shotgun loaded with rock salt. Is also very talented at hand to hand combat shown in season 1 episode 1 when he fights Dean in his dorm room. However, Dean appears to be the more skilled of the two when it comes to hand-to-hand, something Sam would never admit.

Though Sam is usually more concerned about not hurting the hosts and others possesed by deamons, he has actually used The Colt on more occasions than any other known person, including the original hunter. However, as of the end of the third season he has only killed three demons with the weapon, the same number as Dean.

At the end of the third season Sam loses possession of The Colt, but he now has possession of Ruby's Dagger, upon the death of Dean and Ruby's absence.

EQUIPMENT

In Season One, he owns what appears to be a Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop, which he uses to gather information for hunts. The first time Sam uses the laptop is in the second episode "Wendigo", where he plays a video message. His possession of the laptop is ambiguous at this point because it is unsure what he did and did not salvage from the fire at Stanford in the pilot episode. In that same episode, his brother Dean makes references using computer software which leads viewers to believe that Dean may, in fact, be the owner of the laptop. In "Tall Tales," Sam claims ownership of the laptop, accusing Dean of misplacing it. In the beginning of Season Two, when Sam and Bobby Singer are surveying the wreckage of the totaled Impala, Sam pulls the broken PC from the passenger seat. Then, in "Crossroad Blues," Sam is seen using an Apple 15" PowerBook or MacBook Pro, though interestingly, its display shows a Windows OS. Sam also appears to own a Verizon-branded Motorola Q which has on at least one occasion (in "Hollywood Babylon") been used to visually track unseen ghosts. This phone however was destroyed in the third season episode "Fresh Blood."

POWERS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Sam exhibits both telekinetic and precognitive abilities at various times throughout the show. His telekinesis onscreen is limited to a single incident wherein he was under extreme stress and pressure, while his precognitive abilities, manifesting as dreams and visions of others' deaths, started prior to the first episode with dreams of Jessica's death, and continued throughout the first two seasons. Sam stated that visions stopped with the death of Azazel at the end of Season Two; Azazel is assumed to have given Sam and the other psychic children their gifts. However, according to Ruby, his powers are simply dormant. Ruby also states that if he was in full control of his power, he could blow away demons as powerful as Lilith with no effort. At the end of "No Rest For the Wicked", Sam demonstrates an ability to stop Lilith's attack, proving Ruby's theory correct.

Thanks to his training as a hunter by his father he is a skilled fighter, expert with firearms, shotguns, and melee weapons. Like his brother Dean he is skilled in many areas frowned upon by law, such as lock picking, computer hacking, car jacking and the list goes on. In the first two seasons he is often hesitant about using these skills because of his desire to be a 'normal' citizen, however this lessens over time. He has vast knowledge of the supernatural and is considered an "encyclopedia of weirdness." He is proficient in reading spells written in foreign languages such as Latin and more often then not is the brother stuck with doing the research for their latest hunt.

DEAN GROWING UP

Dean was four years old when their mother was killed. On his fathers orders, he took baby Sam and ran from the house, without having seen exactly what was happening. From that time onwards, he followed his fathers instructions, learning to fight demons and protect Sammy. When he was around 6 or 7 years old, he learnt to shoot, with his father training him by using bottles for target practice. He bullseyed every one of them. When Dean was 10 years old, Sam was attacked by a Shtriga while they were in a motel in Wisconsin. Dean was supposed to have been looking after him, but had left him alone. Luckily John appeared in time to save Sam, but Dean carried the guilt with him for a long time. By the time Dean was 16 years old, John was taking him along on hunts. Dean told this to Gordon that he was 16 when he killed a vampire and later burned his body. This as the time when he embraced the life.

He is major fan of classic rock music and heavy metal. He always wears a brass amulet on a long black cloth band necklace.n the episode A Very Supernatural Christmas, the necklace is revealed to be a gift from Sam on Christmas Day, 1991. The amulet was originally meant for John, but after their father yet again failed to come home for Christmas, Sam gave it to Dean instead, saying "Dad lied to me, I want you to have it," and because Dean desperately tried to give him a good Christmas. In addition to the amulet, Dean always wears a silver ring on his right ring finger. He also has a small black tattoo on the upper left side of his chest, it is a protective plated pentagram with rays of the sun surrounding it.

Dean also appears to be a fan of Jack Nicholson, and possibly watches Oprah. He tends to make light of some of his and Sam's adventures, and is known to use crude humor and make sexual innuendos. Relationship: Dying from an inoperable brain tumor, Layla and her mother were frequent visitors to Roy Le Grange's church in the hope that he would heal her. She met Dean and formed a friendship with him after he was healed, but Dean and Sam had to stop the "miraculous" healings before Layla was cured. Had their situations been different, there was a chance of a relationship between the two.

DEAN - LIVING AND DYING

When Dean accidentally electrocuted himself, he was given only weeks to live by the doctors. Despite this, Sam searched for a way out and took Dean to see a faith healer. Although the faith healer was not actually one (he was channeling a reaper), Dean was still returned to full health. He still feels that he shouldn't have been allowed to live, as his recovery left another man dead. A few months later, he almost died after the car crash that The Demon caused. He was in a coma and encountered a reaper who informed him it was his time. He refused to go, and at the last moment, John gave his life in exchange for Dean's, yet again leaving Dean with severe feelings of guilt. According to police records, Dean Winchester was assumed dead due to the shapeshifter who died while disguised as him. However, his recent arrest for a murder (which he didn't commit) has led the police to change their assumptions about his current status.He was killed by hellhounds in the season 3 finale No Rest For The Wicked ,as his deal's time was up. In the last scene he was shown in Hell.

THE DEAL
When Sam was killed, it broke Dean. He did the one thing he could to get his brother back - he offered his soul in a deal with a Crossroads Demon. The deal gave him Sam back, but gave him only a year to live. The caveat was that if they tried to break the deal in any way, Sam would die instantly. Sam tired to save him but wasn't stressful and dean died in season three finale No Rest For The Wicked.

In season 4, he was pulled out of Hell by Castiel, who told him that God has plans for him.

In season 5, he is on the verge of fulfilling prophecy as the one who will somehow stop Lucifer.

Dean's trademark black 1967 Chevrolet Impala bears a Sedgwick County, Kansas (even though they are from Lawrence, Kansas) license plate KAZ 2Y5, a reference to Kansas, the Winchesters' home state, and 2005, the year the show premiered, was passed down to him by his father. It has been prominently featured on the series, beginning with the teaser of the pilot which shows John holding his two sons as he sits on the car and watches his house burn. Dean protects and cares for the Impala with almost the same devotion he shows to his family and often talks to it as though it were human, (Bloodlust and Simon Said). The Impala is nicknamed the "Metallicar". In the season two episode "What Is And What Should Never Be", the number plate was changed from KAZ 2Y5 to CNK 80Q3 as the boys were hiding from the FBI.

WEAPONRY

Dean tends to use a chromed Colt 1911 with ivory grips, which John is seen using in a flashback. He also uses a sawn-off double barrel shotgun when he needs extra firepower. Dean has also been seen with a sniper rifle in "Simon Said." He is shown to possess a large Machete in "Fresh Blood" and has used a knife in several episodes.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Due to his father's training and his years of experience, Dean has several notable advantages for a human and is a formidable hunter and combatant. He is superbly proficient in hand-to-hand/close quarters combat and has demonstrated proficiency in knife fighting as well, using a blade on several occasions. He is an exceptional shot, capable of achieving excellent accuracy with most weapons, and is well-versed in the use of multiple types of firearms, although he prefers his Colt 1911 and sawn-off shotgun. He also possesses considerable demolitions training and apparently is knowledgable in the science of chemistry, as he has been shown to be capable of making improvised explosive devices through the use of common chemicals. Dean is extremely proficient at tracking, hunting and killing various supernatural creatures and has considerable knowledge of these creatures, their habits, weaknesses, appearance, ways of disguising themselves among humans, methods of killing, and where they normally prefer to live and hunt. In addition to his combat skills, Dean is a skilled driver and a accomplished mechanic. He knows the inner workings of the Impala so well that he can often detect when something is wrong with his "baby" merely by listening closely. He also rebuilt it following the accident at the end of Series 1.

He has demonstrated great proficiency at reading and manipulating people and assessing a given situation through observation, is a competent con artist, and is knowledgeable in how police, the fire department and various other agencies-such as the FBI, Home Land Security and Center for Disease Control operate and respond to emergencies. Dean is also highly adept at escape and evasion, and can effectively remain unseen and move silently when the situation requires stealth. He is highly resourceful as well, is capable of quickly disabling and hacking various electronic devices-such as home security systems-and can quickly bypass (pick) most standard locks.
