So, this was more of an SPN mythology epi than anyone thought it would be, I guess! I thought it was genius how the writers worked in some really important revelations into a fun and crazy storyline! Yayz to Dean and Sammy for holding their ground and especially for sticking together! :D

Trixter is one of the the best "bad guy" monsters that the boys have hunted! I loved seein him come back! What I'd like even more is for, we find out now, Gabriel to step in between Lucifer & Michael and stop Armageddon.

Another thing I woke up thinking about: those were some pretty pointed questions on the Japanese game show -- what demon did Sam abandon his brother for, and especially, "Would your mother and father still be alive if Sam had never been born?" Ouch. *_O And then Dean answers "yes" ... made me hold my breath. Do you find this valuable? |

Duuuude. I was so hoping that Gabriel would show up! It all made sense when the "Trickster" revealed who he was. Like a whole "Oh no wonder!" deal. Also, I got really excited when Gabe revealed why the brothers were chosen. I was shouted "I TOTALLY THOUGHT THAT!" while pointing at the television. Mom laughed at me. xD But yes~! This was a great episode. This season has been a lot of fun so far. I have yet to be bored by anything. O: <3 Which is great, lol. I liked that they surprised us with some more SPN mythology while disguising it to be another silly fun episode. Good move, writers. Good move. xD Also, totally thought the genital herpes commercial was real at first. xD @Zu: I was thinking the same thing, about the Japanese show. O: But at the same time, the brothers didn't know what they were being asked... it's hard to say if Dean knew what he was saying "Yes" to. :C Do you find this valuable? |

hands down FAVORITE episode ever!! it was so incredibly amazing i just dont have words to describe it!! the sitcom, the cruel japanese game show, CSI, Greys... AND THE GENITAL HERPES COMMERCIAL!! oh my god, poor Sam!! "and i.... have genital herpes.." and dean making fun of him for having to say it all because he had said "we need to go along with it" lol. i knew when it came on that it was still part of the show for 2 reasons. 1, i knew they were spoofing a commercial and 2, i saw that the "CW" symbol was still there! lol before they even got to the commercial spoof me and my mom were thinking of commercials they could do and our guesses were actually pretty close: Viagra, Cialis, and the "make a man larger?" commercial (i know you know what one! lol).. the genital herpes one was perfect though!! GO KRIPKE! hahathe CSI spoof was perfect too. "well i say.. jackpot" "and i say.... no guts no glory" oh it was such a great epi =) i have to say that this season is by FAR my favorite and i dont think this epi will be topped on my list for humor =P i cant wait to see what else Kripke comes up with!! I have to agree here, one of the best episodes of supernatural. I was dying when they did the CSI spoof, it was the most hilarious thing I have seen in a while. And the commercial was hilarious, i was gonna leave even though i still saw the CW commercial...the old dude in it was funny he kept looking at the camera. And I agree Superzu, it bothers me that Dean answered yes, even though he didn't know what he was agreeing to. The questions themselves were harsh. Was it supposed to be like the I survived a japanese game show? And why didnt castiel say anything at the end of the episode? sam and dean got him back but they didnt talk... Definately one of my favourites.YAY, we saw Castiel !!! I actually thought the Trickster was Zachariah in disguise, pretending to be the Trickster, just in the way he was talking. He sounded the same, had that attitude. Can't decide who I like better as a bad guy, the Trickster/Gabriel or Patrick/he witch. I liked how Gabriel reiterated Rapheal in that he just wants it all to be over. Loved the sitcom thing, my favourite was CSI because I LOVE the Horatio one liners and TBH, I think CSI script writers do it deliberately, but anyway....... And ok, I have watched it twice, but tell me again why it just HAD to be the boys? I understand the parallels of Michael the big brother loving the absent father and Lucifer the little brother and rebellious, but how could the boys have been BORN to it. Didn't they become candidates through the choices they made? I too liked Dean's retort to Gabriel. I really hope Gabriel chooses a side and it's with the boys !!! Do you find this valuable? |

"I actually thought the Trickster was Zachariah in disguise, pretending to be the Trickster, just in the way he was talking. He sounded the same, had that attitude.point 1: totally! When Sam said that maybe the stake didn't work because it wasn't the Trickster, I turned to my roommate and said, "It's Zachariah!" point 2: yeah, I wondered about that too. I mean, if it's destiny, then it started say earlier -- like their choices didn't have all that much to do with it...they were BORN to it, and if that's the case, then why their families, etc. If it's later (in their lifetimes), then all the angels and stuff wouldn't have been waiting for them to come along all that time. huh! it's a conundrum! (I'm not sure we're supposed to figure it out that far!) Do you find this valuable? |

Okay, I haven't gone back and re-watched the episode yet, but I have had time to sit and think things over.By far, the absolute funniest one yet! My personal opinion was that we were going to see Gabriel, but it wouldn't have been the Trixter. I thought that Trixter was actually going to turn out to be God. Kinda glad I was wrong on that one! lol I'm also hoping that Gabrial does choose a side! It would be kinda funny to see some of the pranks & stuff he'd pull on the demons! :o) But, by far, the best was the commercial! Primarily cuz of Dean's reaction to Sam! & SuperZu, remember when Gabriel said "As it is in Heaven, so it shall be on Earth"? that's one of the prophesies from Scripture! ;) Do you find this valuable? |

"& SuperZu, remember when Gabriel said "As it is in Heaven, so it shall be on Earth"? that's one of the prophesies from Scripture! ;) "Oh yes! I know! I guess what WiddleShamrock and I are puzzling over is the "Why Dean and Sam?" part of it all. What Gabriel said made some sense, in that they "fit the profile," so to speak, but everyone all the time keeps saying that it HAD to be them, they were destined for this, but it's just not clicking for me as to how they were predetermined. This goes back to what I said many moons ago, about feeling like there is still something to be revealed about Sam and dean and their lineage or something... Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree, but there still seem to be some puzzle pieces missing! "Lucy, you got some 'splainin' to dooooo!" Do you find this valuable? |

Yeah, i think there are a few things missing too. The only thing that we really know for certain about the boys' genealogy is that their maternal grandfather was a hunter, and their mom didn't want to be. We saw that in one of the season 4 episodes where Cas sent Dean back in time.Maybe it has something more to do with the deal that Mary (the boy's mother) made with Azazael? But I just go with the reason it HAS to be these particular 2 boys is that they are the "heroes" of the story. Do you find this valuable? |

"Definately one of my favourites.you thought it was Zach too? right when he said "you arrogant dicks" i thought, "thats got to be Zacharia!" i was confused.. i knew it had to be an angel since he really did care what happened even though he said he didnt, otherwise he wouldnt have been trying so hard to get the boys to do it. i had actually thought that the boys were born into it, it was a theory i had thought of.. its in a couple threads, i dont know which ones lol. i will post it if i can find it. i was actually really close, im proud of myself lol. it would be awesome if Gabriel chose Dean and Sams side at some point.. Gabriel is my second favorite angel, after Cas, but in actual mythology Gabriel is my favorite, then Amitiel. so ya... lol Do you find this valuable? |

Sam... so he was targeted?" add the Gabriel/Micheal parody to that and it makes sense.. i dont know, thats just how i see it lol Do you find this valuable? |

"found it. this was my theory from the thread "hell of a plan"OOoo, you are good, really good !!!!! I like that reasoning. I watched a couple of episodes from Season one again yesterday, trying to get my head around it. All I could think of was that there were loads of deals Azazal made, and maybe the angels were watching them all to see what path they all took. Over time, it would be apparent that the Winchesters were the 'chosen ones' as it were. Do you find this valuable? |
